Sad news today, singer songwriter John Martyn passed away at age 60. I’m not sure why it came as such a shock because he’s been ill for sometime… But recently Bridget St. John had mentioned that John was feeling better and was planning on playing some shows in the States this coming spring. I was so looking for to seeing him play but it wasn’t meant to be. He will not be forgotten…

Thanks for passing on the sad news! I did not see this anywhere else. I crossed paths with John many times during the 70′s. He was a great talent and his performances were often transcendental.
